  The cafe must be the worst part of our experience at Asda, Skelmersdale. The food was disgusting. How do you get baked beans to near dried, black mush? What a great advert for Asda’s food!! I have used the self service coffee machine 3 times. The first, fine. Second, it had run out of milk and took 10 minutes for someone to deign to re fill. Third time. Disgustingly dirty. Obviously, would never use again. For the few occasions I have shopped here, each time the store has run out of at least one of the most popular products. Given that the Asda warehouse is about 5 minutes away, unacceptable. Don’t ever attempt to buy anything a little different! They will not stock them. Overall, Morrison’s, Aldi or Lidl are far superior for the price bracket aimed at.

  Perhaps I am biased. But I worked at the Skem store for five years until three years ago, when returned to Devon. I loved every minute of my time with them A great bunch of staff. I am sorry to hear of the change of hours. I now live 10 miles from my nearest Asda, but I try and get there when I can. Don't complain about the changes folks, I live in a village which as the smallest Co-op store in the country, a small community Post Office and a very expensive butchers.
